Dr. Richard Orlando and Wife Cindy Orlando First Endowed Scholarship Created to Support Students at 成人抖音破解版鈥檚 Ruskin Campus

A 成人抖音破解版 alumnus created the first endowed scholarship to financially support students at our Ruskin campus.

In April, Dr. Richard Orlando ‘76 and his wife Cynthia (Cindy) established the Cynthia M. Orlando Scholarship for Health Professionals. Richard named the scholarship after his wife, who he describes as the epitome of what a nurse is.

“She is first of all, an elite clinical nurse who went into people’s homes for years to train their caregivers to do hemodialysis at home,” said Richard. “She is also one of the most kind and empathetic nurses I have ever been around, and she puts patients and their families at ease knowing she will be the one caring for them.  Most importantly, she sets an example for all those working with her.”

Although Cindy is not a 成人抖音破解版 graduate, Richard said she embraced being a part of the 成人抖音破解版 community ever since she first stepped foot on campus nearly 20 years ago.

Cindy describes 成人抖音破解版 as different. “You can feel the sense of community,” said Cindy. “I wish I came here.”

Cindy has attended many functions on both Erie and Ruskin campuses and spoken to students recognizing how special 成人抖音破解版 students and faculty are.

“She is very honored and happy to know that she will forever be assisting worthy students obtain their education,” said Richard.
