成人抖音破解版’s President Walter Iwanenko, Ph.D., was invited to participate in a round table event at Strong Vincent Middle School on Thursday, Sept. 5. The event was part of the Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten’s Back to School Bus Tour and was hosted to discuss how community schools are working to help students get back on track after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community schools are schools that provide extra support for their neighborhood’s needs. In his discussions, Iwanenko said, “This building itself is just bricks and mortar and sticks, it’s really about the people and the community that makes it what it is.” He went on to explain the importance of 成人抖音破解版’s involvement in the Erie community, citing the university’s commitment to catholic social teachings, volunteerism, and how being an urban campus impacts our connections with the community saying, “We’re an urban campus, so there’s no walls between us and the rest of the city.”
At the event, students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners all shared the impact that community schools are having in the Erie area.
Marten will continue her bus tour in Pittsburgh before heading back to Washington D.C.
